CD aanraders #1 was een succes dus vandaag gaan we er nog een paar voor je op een rijtje zetten.

Again you are welcome, zoveel mogelijk staan hieronder de links met complete lijsten zodat je hem lekker kan luisteren.

Dit keer zal ik hem niet zo extreem lang maken maar jullie wat meer ontspannen kennis laten maken met een aantal goede CD’s.

Melanie Martinez – K12 (met een film!!)

Geniaal en echt de moeite waard. De teksten zijn wat duister maar het is catchy. Alle nummers zitten op de CD zelf in elkaar vast gemixt als een soort lang nummer en je krijgt een donker soort dystopisch schoolverhaal mee.

De film heeft ze zelf geschreven en geregisseerd en is helemaal in de stijl van Melanie. Redelijk raar en overal easter eggs naar andere clips uit het verleden zoals “the blue boy” uit Pacify her. In de nummers tikt ze diverse maatschappelijke problemen aan op een rauwe manier.

Billy Eilish – When we fall asleep 

Billy en Melanie hebben beide een hele eigen stijl met best duistere teksten die ik kan waarderen. Deze cd heeft bijna alleen maar pakkende nummers die goed aansluiten op elkaar.

Labrinth, Sia, Diplo – LSD

Soms komen artiesten samen en creeren ze plots vanuit een grap een cd die knalt van het talent. Het intro alleen geeft al aan in welke achtbaan je terecht gaat komen.

Ed Sheeran – No.6 collaberations

Een samenwerkingsproject van Ed Sheeran met verassende elementen. Wie had Ed samen met eminem en 50 cent aan zien komen?

Lewis Capaldi – Divinely uninspired to a hellish extent

Een man met een stem die onverwachts je raken gaat. Nog grappiger is hem volgen op sociale media en hem horen praten. Het Adele effect.

Au/Ra – X games EP

Ik denk dat we meer gaan horen van dit meisje. Met haar groene haar een aparte verschijning.

Jeff Russo – The umbrella academy

Deze man is trouwens briljant als componist en zit ook achter de soundtracks van series zoals fargo en star trek.

Gabbie Hanna – 2 way mirror

Een cd die opnames met reacties van haar gebroken relatie mixt met de nummers. Zo ga je door haar proces heen. Heel bijzonder en fris.

Sidenote: steun de artiesten. Als je een CD bom vindt schaf hem eens aan via Itunes, een streaming service of als CD/LP.

Volgende keer zal ik weer jullie laten kennis maken met een paar CD’s die de moeite waard zijn.
